Lorna Fielker

Lorna Fielker is the Leader of Southampton City Council and Labour Councillor for Swaythling Ward. She also serves as Deputy Chair of the Key Cities network, representing the interests of urban areas across the UK, and is an active member of the Local Government Association.

Elected in 2018, Lorna has held Cabinet Member responsibilities spanning adult social care, public health, housing, leisure and education. Her leadership is defined by a strong focus on tackling inequality and driving inclusive local growth through collaboration with anchor institutions and strategic partners. She is particularly committed to improving outcomes in deprived communities by championing housing delivery, skills development, and economic opportunity.

She brings to Millbank extensive experience in transformation across local government, with a clear understanding of how modern engagement and service delivery can support stronger, more connected communities.
