The Role
We are seeking an experienced and well-connected Senior Adviser to join our Advisory Board on a part-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior-level professional with deep understanding of UK political landscapes - particularly The Labour Party - to help steer Millbank’s continued growth and strengthen our relationships with key political and affiliated organisations.
It is anticipated the overall time commitment, including attending board meetings, will be approximately 10 days per year. We expect this role to be built around someone's existing full or part-time commitments elsewhere.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level strategic advice to Millbank’s leadership on political engagement, public affairs, and sector opportunities
- Support Millbank’s business development efforts by identifying and nurturing relationships within The Labour Party and related networks
- Offer expert insights on political trends and policy developments that align with client needs and agency growth goals
- Participate in a minimum of four strategic leadership or board-level meetings per year (most held virtually and last approximately 2 hours)
- Champion Millbank’s reputation as a trusted digital partner in political and public affairs circles
About You
We’re looking for a highly credible professional with:
- A strong and demonstrable network within The Labour Party and/or affiliated political organisations
- Senior-level experience in political strategy, public affairs, communications, or a related field
- A passion for digital engagement and an understanding of how digital tools shape reputation and influence
- Excellent strategic thinking, with the ability to offer valuable guidance on growth and positioning
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
In addition to paid remuneration of £500 per calendar month, plus reasonable expenses, we will also provide the candidate with limited resource to build their own personal digital profile.
